Sweet Home 3D is a free interior design application that helps you draw the plan of your house, arrange furniture on it and visit the results in 3D. Insert doors and windows in walls by dragging them in the plan, and let Sweet Home 3D compute their holes in walls. Add furniture to the plan from a searchable and extensible catalog organized by categories such as kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom. Change color, texture, size, thickness, location and orientation of furniture, walls, floors and ceilings. While designing the home in 2D, simultaneously view it in 3D from an aerial point of view, or navigate into it from a virtual visitor point of view.

Regardless of your OS, you can download the application from the website. The creator of each 3D model is indicated when you place the mouse pointer on its image. Draw the plan of your home and view the result in a 3D view. Use your own furniture catalog, customize the buttons, the style and behavior, connect with CRMs and other SaaS APIs. You can drag-and-drop any item into your blueprint plan and control orientation and size with the tools visible when you hover your mouse over the item's corners. I used Sweet Home 3D a few years ago when we were planning a remodel. It was really helpful for both of us to envision what the new space would look like. You can also take "snapshots" of your home so that you can refer to your ideas without opening Sweet Home 3D. To create a snapshot, go to the 3D View menu and select Create Photo. The snapshot is rendered from the perspective of the person icon in the blueprint view, so adjust as required, then click the Create button in the Create Photo window. A little girl rescues a strange beast in the woods and carries him safely home. But the beast is not happy and escapes! A funny and charming tale about seeing both sides of the story. These books help kids to understand and navigate the difficult world of emotions and social communication skills. Not my style or inspiration, not great instruction. Good if you like vintage/19th century/rustic home style.

You probably already have a fair understanding of what can be made from a reclaimed wood pallet, and more bunting and homemade wreaths than anyone has a right to possess. Even so, there are some neat projects, like a glass dome full of butterflies that only takes $300 in supplies – but it is beautiful. A disproportionate amount of the tutorial section is dedicated to floral arrangement, but it also includes slipcovers and… well, that’s about it. Cathy Green, August 04, 2012Love this book. Best Kids Books to Teach Social-Emotional Skills

I would love to get my hands on a whole book of inspiration for updating my home, particularly my baby’s new nursery and a guest room revamp.. I teach art at a high school in rural Kentucky. We use the Design Sponge blog and twitter posts regularly for inspiration, examples, and references. A product students could have in hand would be another great addition to their learning experience. As a speech-language pathologist, I occasionally work with kids that lack social communication skills. I love to use books as examples to teach certain skills and illustrate emotions.

I am using the idea of lighting for my kitchen with the hanging light bulbs, . Buy the book and see what I mean, you will love it too. Again, I love this book, and Powell's Books has the greatest prices and customer service. I have been buying books from Powell's since 2005. It’s so full of beautiful design projects and a hard copy reference book would be so perfect to own.

This is one of the things I love best about the blog and the book - it makes home decor and renovation so accessible and affordable. You don't need to be rich to beautify and transform your home. You don't have to be a serial DIYer or spend buckets of money to turn your home into a beautiful place that reflects your personality and style. You can do much of the work yourself if you like, and there's plenty enough in the book to get you going. One of the design books I keep going back to and full of great ideas for DIY projects at home that are cool and funky. I love all things design – it’s all I think about and am surrounded by everyday – it is part of my job and my own business.

The writing is clear and concise and each room shot has accompanying blurbs with tips, tricks, and notes on where to find similar or identical pieces featured in the room shots. 1)Sneak Peeks - This is the largest part of the book which is exactly what it says, a peek into someone's living space. You can go to the blog and see so much more of these spaces which were originally on the blog, but here you will just get a peek of that space. A great many of the spaces are of people who are very successful in interior design or a related field. The book begins with a “Sneak Peek” into other homes of creative people who decorate to reflect their personality. These homes are not “Architectural Digest”–but real, sometimes funky, always creative and often DIY homes.

She is having family help her fix things up so she can sell it soon. Thank you for accepting my request if no one has won the books yet. I need a helping hand in applying some finishing touches to my shop which is in it’s final stages of being finished.

The essential idea of this book is to show the reader how to create a home that reflects their personality and makes them happy. It’ll even give you ideas for stenciling your accent wall and wrapping your gifts in reclaimed maps. But even though I bought this book shortly after it came out, I’m already starting to find it dated.

I suggest Justina Blakeney's 'The New Bohemians' for interiors that really pop and excite. I loved this book so much more than I thought I would. I already tried out one of the projects and am looking forward to more. It's a book that teaches and inspires, and I just plain love looking at pretty houses. A little on the etsy/DIY side for my taste but there are also some unique, sleek, and tailored homes.
